Concentrated aromas of red cherries, strawberries, wild flowers and herbs. Roasted lamb or vegetable couscous.

A bright and clean, pure Garnacha from Priorat, made from grapes grown at around 450m in the Gratallops area, the heart of Priorat, and representing very well the character of this appellation and the philosophy of the winemakers. The wine bursts with intense, concentrated aromas of red cherries, strawberries, wild flowers and Mediterranean herbs. Bright acidity and fine tannins, accompanied by an elegant and subtle minerality, give it balance and freshness.

The Balaguer and Cabré families have been based in the southern Spanish region of Priorat for generations. They joined forces and their winery based in Gratallops produces wines all based on the Garnacha (Grenache) grape, sourced from small vineyard plots in the region, combining varietal expressiveness with the uniqueness of Priorat soils and climate.

Serving suggestions: Roasted lamb, vegetable couscous, stews and hearty pasta dishes.

Grape
Grenache Grenache or Garnacha is one of the most widely planted red wine grape varieties in the world. It ripens late, so it needs hot, dry conditions such as those found in Spain, where the grape most likely originated.
Priorat Priorat is a Catalan Denominació d'Origen Qualificada (DOQ) for wines produced in the Priorat county, in the province of Tarragona, in the southwest of Catalonia. The DOQ covers 11 municipalities. It primarily produces powerful red wines, which came to international attention in the 1990s
