Wine & Philosophy Pte Ltd (‘Wine & Philosophy) provides its services to you subject to the following Terms & Conditions. Your use of this website is subject to these Terms & Conditions and other applicable laws. Please read the Terms & Conditions carefully, if you do not agree with them, you must refrain from using or making a purchase from this website.
Wine & Philosophy reserves the rights to modify these Terms & Conditions without notice. Your continued use of this website or the services of Wine & Philosophy after any such changes constitutes your agreement to them.
Please contact us if you have any questions with regard to these Terms & Conditions.
You will need to open an account to use some of the services available on the Wine & Philosophy website. Once registered, you agree to accept responsibility for all activities conducted through your account, including receiving emails on special promotions. You may at any time opt-out of receiving these communications.
If your personal identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire Wine & Philosophy’s services, you may also correct or update your personal data, or request for it to be removed.
Wine & Philosophy reserves the right to terminate an account without notice for any reason whatsoever including without limitation, if there has been a breach, or there is suspicion that there has been a breach, of these Terms & Conditions.
Prices are in Singapore Dollars ($), provisional and subject to Wine & Philosophy’s confirmation upon acceptance of order.
Prices may be subject to change at any time.
The placing of an order anywhere on the Wine & Philosophy website does not constitute a contract. A contract is made only when you have placed and confirmed an order on the website, the order has been accepted by Wine & Philosophy, and payment has been made in full on the website or when receiving the goods.
You will receive an email from Wine & Philosophy confirming receipt of your order as soon as practicable. You will also receive an invoice upon reception of online payment or following payment at delivery.
Wine & Philosophy reserves, in its sole and absolute discretion, the right not to accept any order.
Should your order not have been accepted, you will be notified and full refund of any payment arranged.
Payment is due within 14 days from the invoice date. Payments to be made online through PayPal, by bank transfer, or by cheque. Wine & Philosophy reserves the right to cancel orders if payment has not been received within the due date.
To the extent permitted by law, Wine & Philosophy will not be responsible for any damages or consequential losses of any kind suffered by you in the event a credit card, PayPal account or other payment method is fraudulently used or is used in an unauthorised or improper manner.
All goods are offered subject to availability. Delivery schedule is subject to goods being in stock, as well as available dates and timeslots. If Wine & Philosophy gives you notice that the delivery of ordered goods will not be possible due to lack of stock, you can cancel the order without charge and a full refund of any payments already occurred will be arranged.
Orders will be dispatched to your nominated delivery location in accordance with the delivery notification given at the time of your order. Standard delivery to your nominated location will be within 2 to 3 working days after confirmation of the order. Free delivery for orders above $200; for orders under $200 there is a delivery fee of $30.
If no one is available to accept delivery on the pre-arranged delivery date, Wine & Philosophy reserves the right to charge for re-delivery costs.
All goods ordered remain the property of Wine & Philosophy until payment has been received in full.
Taxes or Other Charges
All taxes or other charges imposed by law on the goods shall be borne by the customer unless the law specifically provides that such payment must be borne by Wine & Philosophy.
Wine & Philosophy guarantees the quality of its products and services. Please inspect all goods ordered upon receipt of your order. If for any reason upon inspection you are dissatisfied with your order, please contact us within 3 days of receipt of the order.
As wines and spirits undergo a certain amount of evolution in bottle, please note Wine & Philosophy will as a rule not be able to accept return of products of over ten years in age.
Wine subscription plans
Registration is open to all customers of Wine & Philosophy and can be done by completing a registration form. Required information include the client’s name and delivery address, as well as the chosen wine subscription plan option. Wine & Philosophy will confirm the registration by email, or request additional information, as needed.
Wine & Philosophy selects the monthly wines, by registering to a plan the client accepts the wines selected for delivery every month. The selected wines are part of Wine & Philosophy’s portfolio and can be seen in Wine & Philosophy’s online shop. The subscription price of each wine delivery is lower than the retail price including the delivery fee.
Subscription plan prices are net and inclusive of delivery and any other fees. For six-months subscriptions, the full amount needs to be paid upfront and in advance of the delivery. For monthly subscriptions, an invoice will be issued every month to the subscriber, until cessation of the plan (see Cancellation below). Payment in advance of delivery is required. If payment is not received by the end of the month, the subscription will be considered as cancelled.
For six-months subscriptions, the first wines will be delivered within 2-3 working days upon receipt of payment, while the subsequent five deliveries will be scheduled at the preferred time indicated by the client. For monthly subscriptions, the wines will be delivered within 2-3 working days upon receipt of payment. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the wines can be delivered at the indicated location and time. If the client fails to provide a suitable delivery address and timing, the subscription will be considered cancelled without any refund rights.
Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled any time by sending an email to email@example.com. Cancellation will be confirmed by email and delivery of monthly wines stopped with immediate effect. Six-month subscriptions cannot be cancelled and are not refundable. However, they can be suspended for one month at a a time without any penalty by notification in writing (email) for a maximum two months in total for the duration of the subscription.
Neither Wine & Philosophy nor the customer will be liable for any delay in performing any of their obligations if such delay is caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to failure of or interruption in the provision of essential services such as electricity supply, bank payment systems or postal deliveries
Disclaimer of warranties and limitations of liability
Except as expressly stated in these Terms & Conditions, Wine & Philosophy does not give any representation, warranties or undertakings in relation to the goods or services on this website.
Wine & Philosophy makes every effort to ensure that its servers, website and emails sent from its website are free from viruses and other harmful components. However, Wine & Philosophy will not be liable to the fullest extent permitted by law for any loss or damage of any kind arising from the use of this website, including, but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages. lost revenue or profits, lost or damaged data or other commercial or economic loss that result from your use of, or inability to use, this website.
All content appearing on Wine & Philosophy’s website, blog, newsletters and emails including but not limited to graphics, logos, text, images and other features, are the copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property owned, controlled or licensed by Wine & Philosophy or third parties.
As a user and recipient of these contents, you may not copy, distribute, transmit, reproduce, publish, create derivative works or in any way use any of them without the prior written permission of Wine & Philosophy.
If at any time any of the terms and conditions on this website is or becomes illegal, invalid or enforceable in any respect, the legality, validity and enforceability of all the remaining terms and conditions on this website shall not be affected or impaired thereby.
The failure by Wine & Philosophy to exercise or enforce any right or provision under these terms will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Legal drinking age
You must be eighteen (18) years of age or over to open an account with Wine & Philosophy or purchase goods or services from its website.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
Changes to this Policy
Personal information collection and use
Once you have registered as a member or when you make a purchase from this website, Wine & Philosophy collects personal information to enable the processing of your order. By registering your details on its website, you consent to Wine & Philosophy maintaining, recording, holding and using personal data collected about you.
Wine & Philosophy regards your personal information as confidential. Wine & Philosophy will not sell, disclose, or make available your personal details including your name, address, email address, credit card information or personal information to any third party other than where necessary to perform a service, including but not limited to such third parties as courier companies carrying out deliveries.
Information can also be collected to allow Wine & Philosophy to send you offers which may be of interest to you. If you prefer not to receive emails from Wine & Philosophy you can opt out of these services at any time.
If your personal identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our services, you may also correct or update your personal data, or request for it to be removed.
Wine & Philosophy takes reasonable care to maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information you have provided. All information is sent and received using the latest in secure e-commerce software, encryption and secure sockets layer (SSL) technology for the transfer of payment information. Additionally, security measures are in place to protect the customer database and these are regularly reviewed to ensure adequate security standards are maintained.
In the event of an unauthorised use of data or data loss, the individuals concerned will be notified and a recovery plan implemented. This will include a risk assessment and review of operating procedures.

Wine & Philosophy is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites, users are encouraged to be aware when they leave the Wine & Philosophy website and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information.
