Duseigneur, ‘Goutte du Seigneur’ Blanc Côtes-du- Rhône AOC 2016
An enjoyable, uncomplicated wine showing bright, white peach and flowery noteswith a hint of bitter almonds. Itis a juicy and refreshing thanks to well-balanced acidity. It is a typical Rhône blend of one third each of Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc and Viognier. Organic wine. 13%. Drink now to end of 2019.
Serving suggestions: A wine to enjoy in the shade by the pool, on its own, or together with salads, barbecued fish, seafood, or vegetables.
The Domaine was established in 1967 by the Duseigneur family, who ha been growing vines for five generations in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Today their holdings cover 30 hectares planted with Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre and split between the appellations of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Laudun appellations. Domaine Duseigneur’s wines are organic, and a biodynamic approach to vineyard cultivation has been pursued since 2004.
While the focus is on red wines, smaller quantities of white Côtes-du- Rhône are alsa made with the traditional grapes of the Rhône valley.
