Mas de Figuier, ‘Seigneur de Leuze’ Languedoc AOP 2017
This is a typical blend of the southern French varieties Roussanne (best known for its blends with Marsanne in the Rhône valley) and the white variant of Grenache. Luminous pale gold in color, on the nose it displays white flower and white peach aromas with citrus fruit notes – a lively wine balancing very effectively fruitiness and freshness. 13%. Organic wine. Drink now to 2022.
Serving suggestions: A great aperitif wine, works very well also with seafood and fish, or white meats. A savvy match with most Asian food, as it ticks both the boxes of sweet fruit aromatics and refreshing acidity.
Available third week of November 2018.
Mas de Figuier
The 22 hectares of organically farmed vines of the Mas de Figuier are located in the Pic Saint Loup appellation in the north east of the Languedoc. Here the weather is cooler and wetter, with large temperature variations from day to night, and the resulting wines combine ripe, sun-filled fruit with freshness and elegance.
