The Petite Arvine is a rare indigenous variety typical (and unique to) the Valais and the most famous of the Swiss ‘specialty’ (indigenous) varieties. This example is made with great care and precision from grapes grown on steep terraced vineyards in Fully, an extraordinary terroir for white (and red) wines. It has been aged on lees to achieve additional roundness and freshness. It shines with luminous aromas of green lemon, rhubarb and heady flowery notes, and closes with a refreshing iodine coda.
Serving suggestions: Raclette or fondue of course. Or creamy fish and seafood dishes.
