Description
From old vine Pinot Noir grown in the top Leytron terroir in Fully, a fresh and silky wine, marrying delicacy and intensity of aromas of a mountain wine, perfumes of red berries (raspberries, red cherries), a hint of autumnal smoke, very silky tannins, medium body, elegant and precise.
Serving suggestions: A fine Pinot, this is excellent with roasted poultry – duck, chicken, pigeon, rabbit, or venison from the surrounding mountains of the Valais.
Pinot Noir is the most planted red wine grape in Switzerland. In the right place – there are excellent terroirs in the Valais and Vaud, the Three Lakes region and the Grisons – this spellbinding yet difficult variety can reach unique heights of expression and complexity.
