Description
A unique blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot (Ticino in southern Switzerland is the only wine region worldwide where Merlot is vinified as white wine), the intense and complex Tamborini ‘San Zeno Mosaico’ is fermented and aged in oak. Its straw yellow color shows faint tinges of green. Floral notes are paired by aromas of yellow peach and exotic fruit, acacia honey, and a hint of flintiness. Rather full bodied, mineral, with a long and variegated finish.
Serving suggestions: Possible successful food pairings extend from fish- or shellfish-based starters to creamy white meat, cheese, or mushroom dishes.

The family-owned house of Tamborini was established in 1911 and is a pioneer of single village and vineyard crus in Ticino (southern Switzerland), as well as the owner of the Vallombrosa vineyard, originally planted in 1908 by local statesman Giovanni Rossi, who introduced Merlot to Ticino in those same years. Now in the third generation, Tamborini balance tradition and modernity in their wide range of wines.
