This is a lively and elegant Prosecco Superiore from the top Valdobbiadene appellation, made by Trevisiol with 40 to 50 years old vines with good sun exposure. It shows delicious, ripe tangerine and yellow fruit aromas, its sweet, perfumed character and soft mellowness framed by refreshing acidity, making it into a highly drinkable, sunny sparkling wine for happy moments.
The Trevisiol winery was already established before World War I in Treviso near Venice and has witnessed the emergence of Prosecco first as a purely Italian, then as a global sparkling wine phenomenon. Vineyards in the classic production zone of Valdobbiadene DOCG and the cru Collalto DOCG ensure only first quality grapes are used for the production of their wines.
Prosecco is made from Glera, a grape variety indigenous to the region. The still white wine undergoes a second fermentation within a sealed steel tank (Charmat method), and the resulting fizzy wine is then bottled preserving its pearly effervescence. This method is ideal to preserve the freshness, brightness and fruity flavors we love in these adorable sparkling wines.
Serving suggestions: Serve well chilled. Great for after-work drinks or Sunday brunch; goes also well with Asian food, even sushi or sashimi.
