An interesting cuvée, the Vidal Soblechero SEKKA is produced in very small quantities. The Verdejo in the blend (85%) displays characteristic herbal notes of laurel and of bitter almonds, a small percentage of old-vine Viura (15%) adds sweet, fragrant floral notes and provides balance in body and acidity. The Verdejo has been aged on its lees for 12 months before being blended with the Viura from the following (2015) vintage. This is a very clean, transparent wine. Made with organic grapes.
Bodegas Vidal Soblechero in the renowned white wine region of Rueda in northern Spain practice organic viticulture and minimal intervention in the cellar, to make wines naturally expressive of their character.
Serving suggestions: Excellent aperitif wine to enjoy with nuts and olives. For food, try lighter vegetable and fish dishes, as well as dim sum or steamed seafood.
