This Rueda is made from Verdejo and Viura vines between 60 and 100 years old respectively (cepas viejas) manually harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts. It combines the pronounced Verdejo aromatics of laurel and almonds with the delicate florality of Viura. Bright acidity gives it freshness and balances a rich and smooth body with alluring notes of hazelnuts and almonds in the finish. A rare example of an original yet also highly terroir-driven white blend from Rueda. Organic wine.
Serving suggestions: Enjoy with nuts and olives. It is also an ideal accompaniment to vegetable, fish and white meat dishes, as well as not too spicy Asian food, eg Cantonese Chinese.
